KERSEY – Cell phone videos from the day of the landslide at Greentree Landfill show the minutes proceeding and after the collapse.
6 News obtained four videos from a source who understands the daily operations at the Elk County landfill.
One video taken minutes before the collapse shows gas billowing out from the landfill cell that eventually collapsed, said the source.
The audio captured throughout the four videos, he said, is radio communications between those working on or near the cell. Read More...
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — PennDOT officials are providing another update on construction in Cambria County after a landslide last week.
Officials say a concrete barrier should be going up next week along Menoher Boulevard in suburban Johnstown.
It's intended to wall off the closed lane closest to the hillside near Barnett Street.
Menoher Blvd. remains open however it's now limited to two lanes instead of three

DENVER (TND) — Denver city leaders approved a $4 million purchase agreement Monday to acquire a former gymnasium building which it is currently using to shelter migrants.
Denver Community Church previously owned the building and a nearby vacant lot, both of which were acquired by the council through the purchase. The city had been temporarily leasing the property since 2023 and using it as a group shelter for migrant families. Read More...
