HOUSTON (TND) — A Texas man was gunned down at a McDonald's for reportedly stepping in during a confrontation between a customer and a restaurant employee. Houston police responded to a shooting at 8147 Katy Freeway on Saturday and found a 46-year-old man unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. The Meyersdale area celebrated their 77th annual Maple Festival, kicking off weekend festivities with a parade and more.
Officials say the maple festival brings together volunteers, local businesses, and community members each year. They say that people who visit the area for the occasion, which takes place over two weekends, can find a great number of activities to take part in.

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has been selected to his 10th NHL All-Star game.
The 36-year-old currently leads the Penguins with 21 goals and is second on the team in total points.
Crosby has now surpassed former Penguins' forward Jaromir Jagr for the second most All-Star game selections in franchise history.
