JOHNSTOWN — Meyersdale football defeated Conemaugh Valley, 20-14, in thrilling fashion. The Red Raiders grabbed a 14-0 halftime lead, thanks to a pair of Devin Kretchman touchdown runs. But, Conemaugh Valley fought back to tie the game at 14-14 in the second half. Meyersdale scored a touchdown, as time expired. Owner of Conemaugh Health System, LifePoint Health, received $1.5B in COVID relief

LifePoint Health received $1.5 billion in federal relief money to offset the cost of the pandemic, according to business magazine Bloomberg. Conemaugh Health System is owned by LifePoint. According to Bloomberg, the for-profit system is owned by Apollo Global Management which is led by billionaire Leon Black. The report says taxpayer money covered the cost of treating COVID-19 patients. LifePoint and Apollo say they're entitled to the money because it lost revenue from a lack of elective procedures. He spoke about fracking in Pennsylvania and the need for law enforcement, both of which he says, Joe Biden disagrees with.
